Young Talent Award for Literature

We see Low German as a living, vibrant language with strong roots in northern Germany. Stavenhagen is particularly committed to promoting young talent . In order to do justice to this approach the organisers award

the Fritz Reuter Literature Prize – Young Talent.

The approach follows an open format. The prize is aimed at authors, musicians, videographers and creative people who are dedicated to Low German and are no older than 30.

It is endowed with a sum of €1,000.

A jury decides on the award.

The juries are made up of experts and media representatives . They make their selections from the entries.

The award ceremony in the Reuterstadt Stavenhagen always takes place in Stavenhagen Castle on 7th November, Fritz Reuter’s birthday.
